Lebrija Palace, or Palacio de la Condesa de Lebrija

The Palacio de la Condesa de Lebrija is the palace of the Countess of Lebrija. The Lebrija Palace has its origins in the 15th and 16th centuries and was built in the Mudejar style. At the time it served as a mansion. For example, the ground floor was used for living in the summer and the upper floor in the winter. The structure of this palace, as well as the facade, with a garden in the middle, is typical Sevillian style. In 1901, Regla Manjón Mergelina, or the Countess of Lebrija, bought the property in Seville. She was an enthusiastic art and architecture lover, with a great passion for archaeology. With her passion for collecting, the house became a true palace and acquired a special collection of Moorish works of art and Roman mosaics from Italica, the archaeological excavations located 10 kilometers from the city center of Seville.
